"Frankie" BBC

Postby lozza » Wed May 15, 2013 5:38 pm

Dear All,

I was watching a new BBC programme called "Frankie" on tuesday at 2100, about a district nurse, we are introduced to several patients and around 12 mins in- Frankie and the GP are having a case conference regarding patients.

The GP actaully says " He has Pernicious Anaemia "- nothing else is said, but this is the first time i have ever heared our condition mentioned in a Medical drama- hopefully this will be follow up in the story line.....

best wishes

I didn't see it but remember how excited I was when 'Dr House' diagnosed b12 deficiency.

I wonder if the storyline will develop?

Both of my parents were diagnosed with PA. Mum is on 2 monthly injections and relatively OK. Dad progressed to dementia and sadly died 14/2/13. Despite my own levels being 'normal' I have some symptoms. Jac.

I really enjoyed 'Frankie' shame the story regarding PA did not develop
